About your photos.
Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:53PM So I have now seen, -six, count'em, six B-town photogs take pictures of their victims on IU's campus. Now I understand that maybe one would like to have memories of one's college days and that IU buildings in the background would be appropriate for such photography. Consider, for example, a graduation portrait with some distinctive IU edifice looming behind the happily indebted young corporate slave smiling just out of focus in the foreground. In such a case IU campus photography is appropriate. But not otherwise.
It is downright weak to charge people for crappy photography on campus. It is not nature-y it is not, classics, and it is not cool. Any two-bit schmuck or schmuckette can charge $100 for crap photos with a sensational camera. All I ask is that you not hire these artless morons, whether or not you hire me. In fact, I will give a free photo session to the first person who comments on this post, and makes his or her own argument in agreement with my statement. Some restrictions apply. Comment by e-mail, I will repost without editing.
From Bloomington, with love,
Morris
I will flog the competition!
Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 03:12AM Yes, it is true, I have more flare and ability than your average photog of equal and even greater experience. I also will do the work they do for much less. Today, I learned that most photographers charge $250 for an engagement photos-session and take pictures in only the most hackneyed, over-done, trite, passé locations imaginable.
If your photog takes you to IU's campus for beautiful sunset photos then ask for your money back. How many photographers take what near-infinite number of clients to the same places over and over again? This is Walmart style photography.
Yeah maybe the masses clamor for insipid photography (yeh, strong words...) but I think Bloomington, nay- the world, wants better.
So, for the first 10 responders, I will offer my engagement sessions, within 15 miles of Bloomington, for only $125.00 + gas. Half the consarned price.

Have I given you one of my fliers? Many of you have expressed a need to get your portrait taken. I offer artistic, sharp and professional photos for a pauper's wage. Take a look at my portfolio and see for yourself.

Welcome To Mauritius
Friday, September 3, 2010 at 04:48PM Perhaps you have seen my signs around town. I have been offering free portrait opportunities to certain demographics, families, musicians, athletes, and artists.
I am currently developing my portfolio and client base by giving away these portrait sessions. If you are "motivated" to have a good professional portrait taken, then write me using the contact link on this page and tell me about yourself briefly.
Every performer needs a good portfolio picture, why not get yours free?
Details-
The photo session will be free of charge and so will the digital files. If I am feeling especially generous, I will give you a print or two.
The photo session might take place in my home studio or, should there be a suitable place, outdoors or at some other appropriate location.
Your only commitment will be to spread the word about my good performance should you be satisfied with the results -and you will be.
Take a look at some of my work by clicking on the "photographic portfolio" link.
